1. The minimum System Controller firmware level:

   1800MHz and 1950MHz require Power Supply 300-1837 on Sun Fire 4800 and E4900.

4. The Sun Fire 4800 requires E4900 Fan Trays 540-5997, 540-5998, and 540-5999.

Sun Fire 12K/15K/E20K/E25K Notes

1. CPU/Memory slots are labeled SB0 through SB17.
   
   
2. SMS Requirements:
   • 1050MHz or 1200MHz:
     SMS 1.4.1 with patches is required.
   • 1350MHz:
     SMS 1.4.1 with patches 117866-04 or higher, and 117371-06 or higher, are required.
       The minimum firmware for 1350MHz is 5.18.1 (SMS 1.4.1 117772-03).
   • 1500MHz:
     SMS 1.5 is required.
   • 1800MHz:
     SMS 1.6 is required.
   • 1950MHz:
     SMS 1.6 with patches 123300-05 or higher, and 124319-02 or higher, are required.
   
   
3. 1200MHz, 1350MHz, 1500MHz, 1800MHz & 1950MHz Uniboards will run at 1050MHz when installed in the 12K, 15K, E20K, and E25K, unless the carrier plate is upgraded, as described below.
   
   540-5940:
   • This Uniboard runs only at 1050MHz.
   
   All other 1200MHz, 1350MHz, 1500MHz, 1800MHz & 1950MHz Uniboards:
   • Sun Fire 12K/15K: Full 1200/1350/1500/1800MHz performance requires a carrier plate upgrade kit, either:
     C-F1XK-USIV-KIT (containing carrier plates 541-0119, 541-0120, and 541-0121) or
     C-F1XK-USIV-KIT-Z (containing carrier plates 541-1396, 541-1398, and 541-1399).
     • Without the carrier plate upgrade, the Uniboards will operate at 1050MHz.
   • Sun Fire E20K/E25K: The required carrier plates are shipped with E20K/E25K.
   
   
4. Expander Boards 501-5179-20, 501-6827, 501-6802, and 501-7361 include AXQ 6.3.
   Upgrade C-HIGHEND-UG included nine 501-6827 or 501-6802 Expander Boards.
   Upgrade C-HIGHEND-UG-Z includes nine 501-7361 Expander Boards with AXQ 6.3.
   
   
5. 1800MHz in the 15K and E25K requires A196 power supply 300-1705 or 300-1917.
   Power Supply Upgrade Kit C-HE-POWER-KIT-Z contains six 300-1917 power supplies.
6. 1950MHz requires Power Supply 300-1813 and Power Chassis 371-2540.
   E20K-BASE-3-Z and E25K-BASE-3-Z (both announced April 2007) include 300-1813 and 371-2540.
   C-HE-PWR2-KIT-Z includes six 300-1813 Power Supplies and two 371-2540 Chassis.
