Sun Blade X6275 Codename: Vayu
Sun Fire X2270 Codename: Wasp

Sun Blade X6275 Notes

  1. The minimum configuration is three DIMMs per CPU in slots D1, D3, and D5.
  2. Memory speed is dependent on the number of DIMMs and the CPU QuickPath Interconnect (QPI).
  3. Maximum speed is 1333MHz when 1333MHz DIMMs are installed in D1, D3, and D5.
  4. Maximum speed is 1066MHz when any speed DIMMs are installed in all slots.
  5. Node 0 and Node 1 require the same memory configuration.

Sun Fire X2270 Notes

  1. DIMM speed is limited by the CPU QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) speed.
  2. Do not install DIMMs in slots next to an empty CPU socket.
  3. Install the same number of identical DIMMs across all CPU sockets.
  4. Install Blue socket DIMMs D5/D3/D1 then install Black socket DIMMs D4/D2/D0.
  5. Use of the same DIMM size and speed is recommended for maximum performance.

Note

Incorrect SPD programming of 2GB Micron DIMM 371-4428-01 prevents correct
timing when two DIMMs per channel are installed. This does not affect Hynix
or Qimonda DIMMs. Micron SPD programming is corrected in 371-4428-02.
